Storm Trooper Tactics Used By Anti-Health Care Reformers

100px-Hitler_portrait_cropWhen Hitler lost the German Presidency, over 63% of the vote was against him in the run off election, he and his followers resorted to bringing chaos to the streets, which included initiating political violence that led to murder to obtain their goals.

Washington State Congressman Brian Baird (D) and North Carolina Congressman Brad Miller (D) have both reported death threats along with the Capitol Police reporting that other members of Congress have received threatening emails.

One has only to look at the “mob” mentality taking place in the Town Hall debates on Health Care to witness the revival of this “fascist” technique of inducing chaos, intimidation and shouting down legitimate debate.

Fox News’s Glenn Beck followers turned a Tampa Town Hall meeting into a near riot while overwhelming organizers and planners.

Francis Schaeffer, son of the leading far-right Christian leader for the anti-abortion movement, recently had this to say about the “thuggery” taking place at the Health Care Town Hall Meetings:

Here’s the emerging American version of the fascist’s formula: combine millions of dollars of lobbyists’ money with embittered troublemakers who have a small army of not terribly bright white angry people (collected over decades through pro-life mass mailing networks) at their beck and call, ever ready to believe any myth or lie circulated by the semi literate and completely and routinely misinformed right wing — Evangelical religious underground. Then put his little mob together with the insurance companies’ big bucks. That’s how it works — American Brown Shirts at the ready.

The Beck’s; Hannity’s; O’Rielly’s and Limbaugh’s all talk about how Orwellian the Health Care Reform issue has become but they push their mob to a frenzy as they copy the actions of the early 30’s Nazi minority to obtain their end goals.

It’s funny we hear Republicans say that they do not want “faceless bureaucrats” making medical decisions but they have no problem with “private sector” “faceless bureaucrats” daily declining medical coverage and financially ruining good hard working people. And who says that the “private sector” is always right, do we forget failures like Long-Term Capital, WorldCom, Global Crossing, Enron, Tyco, AIG and Lehman Brothers. Of course the federal government will destroy heathcare by getting involved, Oh but wait, Medicare and Medicaid and our military men and women and the Senate and Congress get the best heathcare in the world, and oh, that’s right, its run by our federal government. I can understand why some may think that the federal government will fail, if you look at the past eight years as a current history, with failures like the financial meltdown and Katrina but the facts is they can and if we support them they will succeed.

How does shouting down to stop the conversation of the healthcare debate at town hall meetings, endears them to anyone. Especially when the organizations that are telling them where to go and what to do and say are Republicans political operatives, not real grassroots. How does shouting someone down or chasing them out like a lynch mob advanced the debate, it does not. So I think the American people will see through all of this and know, like the teabagger, the birthers, these lynch mobs types are just the same, people who have to resort to these tactics because they have no leadership to articulate what they real want. It’s easy to pickup a bus load of people who hate, and that’s all I been seeing, they hate and can’t debate. Too bad.
