Spring Cleanups Abound In Warren Showing That The Residents Do Care

Dare To Dream received an email this morning, informing us of another sign of Warren residents caring about their community and city.

This passed Saturday, the Vine Avenue group, along with other concerned citizens, joined forces to cleanup along the Bike Trail and surrounding neighborhood.

This group also plans to “Shepherd” empty/vacant lots to plant gardens.

Now the Perkins Homestead Neighborhood Association is getting together to make a difference on their blocks.

Historic Perkins Homestead Neighborhood Association will be holding their annual Spring Clean-up on Sat., May 2, starting at 9 A.M. Meet at the corner of Mahoning and Belmont to pick up trash bags, gloves, and tools. A large City dumpster will be on hand to receive the trash (no tires, please). Hot dogs and drinks will be served at about noon. Come on out for a good time and a chance to contribute to a better Warren.

A lot of discussion has been made lately that involvement of the Citizen’s of Warren has being lacking.

From the Northwest to the Southeast, from the the Southwest to the Northeast, groups in Warren take action daily, and without leadership or direction from City Hall, to support the efforts to revitalize a decaying City.
