Bishop Robinson To Give Prayer

praying_hands_joshua_sne_01Dare To Dream is excited to hear today that Episcopal Bishop Gene Robinson has been invited to give a prayer at one of President-elects first inauguration events to be held at the Lincoln memorial in Washington D.C.

In an earlier posting, Dare To Dream had suggested that the openly gay Bishop be asked to give the benediction at inauguration and had even emailed the bishop for comment on Pastor Rick Warren’s invite to give the invocation.

Today’s announcement does show the President-elects desire to be “inclusive” and not “exclusive” and we at DTD applaud the effort.

When interviewed on CNN this morning, the Bishop was asked if he “would sit down and talk to Pastor Warren” and without hesitation he said that he “would welcome the opportunity.”

For more details on the Robinson invitation a complete story can be found in this mornings Concord Monitor.

It’s time for folks to let Obama know this guy Warren is no good.
