New Year Tidbits From Warren Ohio

p1010001DTD has heard that the Market on the Square, in Warren, will be closing for the Winter and re-open sometime in the Spring.

Dare To Dream feels that Holly Taylor’s efforts to bring about a “progressive” change to the business community and the “Historic Square” should be applauded and encouraged by the “City Administration.”

With the loss of Alisaros, the cutting of hours at Blue Iris and now, even a temporary closing, the change in Market on the Square, the emptiness of Warren’s Downtown will echo throughout the “valley.”

On a good note, the Doctor Woods House, on Mahoning Avenue, has been sold and will be a private residence once again.

DTD has reported several postings back in the Summer of 2007 about the changes and alterations that were sought by the Perkins Historic Homestead Association and their efforts to revitalize this landmark house on “Millionaires Row.”

Dare To Dream hopes to have an in depth post by this weekend.
