Holiday “Pet Peeve” Tidbits

jingle_bells_01HELP! How many times can the TV media remake the Dickens classic tale, Christmas Carol?

From the Hallmark Channel, ABC Family, Bravo (and who came up with the idea of the Fa-la-la-la network?) all have shown terrible updated renditions of the classic novel and classic movie.

From Susan Luccie to Henry Winkler, and others to many to mention, we have the Christmas Carol theme destroyed so badly that it’s not even entertainment.

Ebenezer becomes Ebbie in one update and in another the Spirit of Christmas Past becomes two “go go” style twins.

“Bah Humbug!”

Since the 1938 classic movie has been sort of lost to history, none of the networks even seem to be interested in showing the powerful 1951 Christmas Carol with Alistar Sim as a marvelous Scrooge, just these “knock offs”.

I say to those Network big “wigs” and the remakes, you should be “boiled in your own Christmas pudding and buried with a stake of holly through your heart.”

My second “Holiday Pet Peeve Tidbit” has to do with Fox News Networks Bill “O’Really” and his fight against using Happy Holidays in replace of Merry Christmas.

Will Bill “O’Really” go the way of Oliver Cromwell (got rid of Christmas while Lord Protectorate in England) because of all things pagen?

If his fight is only against the use of the phrase Happy Holidays, then he must take one step more and get rid of anything that is not “Christian” orientated, like the Christmas tree, wreaths, holly, mistletoe, even the giving of gifts (Roman’s did that way before the Christians) and then there’s that pesky Santa Clause, raindeer and elves (that has to be a part of the gay agenda).

I have several other “Pet Peeves” for the Holiday so until then I’ll go find my “stake of holly” and the hard sauce for the “pudding”.
